The Studio Laporte Collection consists of hundreds of thousands of iconographic documents produced by professional photographers. One section includes photographs of individuals taken mainly in the studio, and a second section has commercial photos. The commercial part of the collection was utilized for the project “Unravelling the Fresco”. Some items were chosen, nevertheless, from the section with the photographs of individuals mainly to provide facets necessary for the project.
The commercial part of the Studio Laporte Collection consists mainly of negatives, photographs or slides. In all, 7309 files were inventoried and classified. Search tools (Excel and PDF files) developed during the project are provided below. They include details and themes for at least 10,000 iconographic documents. The files that have the words "Unravelling the Fresco" in the subject heading are those where one or more items were used in the Web site. In this case, subjects are found in the detailed information for each of these items in the "Cultural Collection” part of the site instead of in the search tools.
It is to be noted that the elements in red and the question marks indicate that the date, title of the file, or part of this title is uncertain.
